    Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness that feels sooooo relaxing. It is a normal state and you pass through this state naturally twice a day, once on the way to getting to sleep and again coming out of sleep. It has a very calming feeling, a bit like the one you get when you've been staring at a candle or flame.

    It is important to know that during hypnosis you are not asleep.  A sleep therapist once said "during hypnosis you are more awake than when you are actually awake."
